this article is about the Heroic Autobots that fought as heros. For their evil counterparts see Autobot (SG)
The transforming superheros known as Autobots are one of the primary factions in the Transformers mythos. They usually find themselves defending both their own race and other species against the Seekers and upholding justice and freedom throughout the galaxy.
They are considered "the good guys" in all Transformers stories.
A generally heroic, honorable group, they tend to be dedicated to peace, and feel a need to protect other races from the Decepticons, Sith and the Seekers. As a result they are usually Transformers who change into any alternate modes such as domestic vehicles, cars, jets, trucks, tanks, military vehicles, or rescue vehicles. This is not always the case, however, as their ranks certainly contain ne'er-do-wells, malcontents, and unsavory types, and the necessities of war have led many to adopt more combat-oriented alternate forms. While the Autobots have usually found themselves outnumbered by the Seekers, the Autobots have always had home-field advantage, having not only the humans' military support, but also having more places on Earth to fall back on, while the Seekers are entirely unwelcome on Earth.
Key concepts that repeat throughout most continuities are the use of the name Prime (or a variation thereof) to denote Autobot leadership, and the existence of an artifact of great life-giving power, usually referred to as a "Matrix", traditionally held by their leader.
History[]
The Autobots had battled the Decepticons for a long time. During a battle at New York the Decepticons escaped with their fallen leader Megatron. When Tankor was about to nuke New York Thundercracker helped the Autobots divert the bomb to explode in outer space. After the death of Megatron the Autobots lived in the Golden age of Cybertron until the evil Darth Grievous attacked with a massive army.
The Sith Legion of Darth Grievous was also allied with the evil Seeker Jets in which case taken over both the planets of the Star Wars Galaxy and the Planets in the Transformers universe and drained their resources and energy.
The Autobots realized they are all the size of 1.85 meters and the Autobots prepare to wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Sith Legion and fight for their right to live as for Darth Grievous will annihilate the last of the Transforming Robots off the face of the galaxy.
The Autobots allied themselves with the Jedi and the Autobots are currently building up a huge autobot army to oppose the evil sith legion and retake the galaxy from the sith and also did their best at defending cybertron from Darth Grievous. The Autobots current arsenal is using old Clone Wars equiptment including the Acclamator and Venator Star Destroyers. Also the Autobots got good commanders and generals like Jetfire the General of the Autobots, Jazz the Sub-commander, Jetstorm the commander, Silverbolt the leader of the Aerialbots and finally Ultra Magnus the tough Autobot that is caring for his fellow Autobots.
During the face of the war the Autobots lose many of their friends. The Battle of Ilum resulted in Huffer, Brawn, Mirage, Hound, Windcharger, Gears, Sideswipe, Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker killed by Darth Grievous. They also had to deal with a hard enemy named Skywarp who has been assassinating many Autobot Commanders and killing many of their Jedi friends.
During a battle on Hoth some of the Autobots were petrified by Gigatron where Gigatron challenges Jetfire to a one on one brawl to the finish. Gigatron retreats and the Petrified Autobots were then unpetrified.
Powerglide and Shockewave were good friends until after being captured by the undead Dragons Powerglides best friend Shockwave was turned into a demon monster. In order to protect the Autobots and the Universe Powerglide had to kill his friend for safety of the innocent people.
After the final episode most of the Autobots were injured by the Deadly Sith magic but the Sith Legion was defeated by the Autobots and the Autobots completed a space bridge project that travels between the Star Wars Universe and the Transformers universe. The Autobots then round up the dead bodies of their fallen comrades and put them in a Space Mausoleum where the dead Autobots can rest in peace. The Dark Future was prevented in order to save the cybertronians and all life in the universe.
Government and politics[]
The Autobots were lead by the Autobot that is on the rank of Prime but the Autobot Jets and Autobot Cars serve as the Autobots Elite Guards. The Autobots were mostly lead by Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Jazz, Jetstorm, Ultra Magnus and other various Autobot commanders. The Autobots were all heroic when it comes to their role as good guys and fighting evil.

The Autobots have many Transformers in their Military and most of them turn into Cars, trucks and various rescue vehicles but only a few of them turns into flying machines. Also their arsenal is made up of old Grand Army of the Republic equipment including Lightsabers, Venator Star Destroyers, Acclamator ships and many old outdated Clone Wars materials. The Autobots also got some Minotaur class Battlecruisers and Vikings along with Elite Special Ops troopers which also comes with the ability to calldown a nuke. The Autobots also used Mammoth Tanks, Harbinger Gunships, mass-produced Autobot bodyforms that turn into F-15s and many other various vehicles in their military. Some Autobots has a special Cyber key power that can activates a lightsaber proof sword.
