Carnwennan is a magical dagger forged by God for Arthur Pendragon. The dagger is said to be wielded by King Arthur, a would allow the wielder to be shrouded in shadows. Arthur used the dagger to kill the witch Orddu by slicing her in half.

The fate of Carnwennan is unknown, but the Doctor stated that the dagger was in the British Museum on display.

• Carnwennan or "Carnwenhau" ("White Hilt") was a dagger used by King Arthur in the Welsh Arthurian Legends.
