Centennial Armed is a 1998 American War Action Drama written by Raynold Gideon & Bruce A. Evans and directed by Rob Reiner starring John Cusack, Denzel Washington, Chad Michael Murray, Kiefer Sutherland, Kunal Nayyar, Joseph Morgan, Josh Dallas, Taylor Kinney, Seth Gabel, Baltasar Kormákur, Lisa Edelstein, Mary Stuart Masterson, Leslie Odom Jr. and Emily Deschanel.

It was nominated for two academy awards and has placed itself within the anals of classic war movies alongside that of Steven Spielberg's later Saving Private Ryan, Brian De Palma's Casualties of War and Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down.

The film concerns the fictional story of a group of soldiers lost in the desolate Amazon Rainforest whilest they were transgressing to Moscow to meet up with the August Coup and settle the occurring Soviet Dissillution.

Plot[]

A platoon of young American soldiers is lead by three brother Lieutennants on a secret bipass through the Amazon Rainforest to reach a Helicopter waiting for them so they can be transported to the Red Square and meet with Mr. Gennady Yanayev to solve the problem concerning the treaty of the Soviet Dissillution.

The awaiting helicopter men are eliminated along with the helicopter itself by a tribe of Amazonian Savages whom take target at the platoon whom flee off into the woods.

The movie chronicles the men lead strenuously under the demanding somewhat mental Lieutennant Maton Boulder as his two wiser Lieutennant brothers are separated from them at the helicopter scene and believed to have been killed by the Savages whom attacked them.

The film goes onto show a mutiny occur as the young soldier platoon overthrow Lieutennant Boulder and the Savages hunting them coming to a peace.

A Moscow reporter woman is found and taken off on a runaway by a particularn young soldier named Gavin Doorse and none of the individuals ultimately escape the Amazon Rainforest as the two have a nasty fall into a large pit trap and both die before Mr. Gennady and his men arrive to collect them.

The Amazon Savage tribe whom had come to a peace with them are completely wiped out by Mr. Gennady's men whom decides upon finding all the bodies that they must burn away everything as now should they bring forth that the soldiers of the other stronger English Nation have been killed it will be seen as their doing and that they weren't coming along to settle on the treaty at all.
