Codename: War is a first-person action series franchise, created by Robert Bussing. The series has been set in a contemporary setting so far and it has been announced that there will be several spin-offs to be set in the 1940s during World War II and in the 1960s during the Vietnam War.
As of December 27th, 2013, the franchise has surpassed expectations and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The franchise has overall made over $688 Million in sales.

Codename: War is the first game in the series and was released on July 7th, 2012. It takes place in 2013 during the fictional Second War in Afghanistan and revolves around Echo Four, a secret task force created by the NSA to stop a terrorist leader from unleashing nuclear warfare on the United States. The game made over $32 Million in sales.

Codename: War is the second game in the series and is set to be released on November 11th, 2013. It will take place in 2014 during the fictional Coalition Wars which will lead into the devastating World War III. It revolves around Gamma Squadron, a newly formed task force under the supervision of David Marcus, who has now become a captain. Gamma Squadron along with the CIA, battle the Russians and prevent them from destroying the United States with Element X.
