Dog of Smallville is an American Television series, based off of DC Comic's Krypto/Superdog, the 2001 TV Series, Smallville, and Boomerang's Krypto the Superdog. The series debuted October 2013, on the CW Television Network. The series is composed by Mark Snow and the theme song, "Save Me" is performed by Remy Zero.
The show is one of the supernatural-themed shows on the network, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural and Roswell, and has been noted many times for its mixing of multiple genres (from horror and fantasy to comedy and even soap).
Overview[]
The series follows the life of Krypto, an alien dog that crash landed near Smallville, Kansas, and was found and adopted by Kevin Whitney and is about his adventures before becoming Superdog. The series sees the two of them coping with adolescents, as Krypto develops super powers and explores his extraterrestrial origin.
Like Smallville, the series can be depicted as a three chapter series: Chapter 1 (Season 1-4), Kevin's teenage years in high school, in which Krypto battles meteor freaks. Chapter 2 (Season 5-7) is their beginning of adulthood, which begins Krypto's early training. The final chapter (Season 8-10) is Krypto's final trials and his rise to Superdog.
The series also focuses on the friendship between Kevin and Krypto, and the people in thier lives, such as thier family, whome they have to keep thier secret from. Kevin's friends, Emily and Drew. Drew is Kevin's best friend, until he moves away in season 3. Drew also knew Krypto's secret. Emily is his other best friend. They grow closer throughout the series, as she leaves her crush on him behind and discovers Krypto's secret. His on again, off again love interest Maddie West. His neighbor, Andrea Suseman, who goes from his frenemy to friend to love interest. Thier friendship/partnership with Clark Kent, Krypto's kryptonian owner. And finally, thier friendship to rivalry with Lex Luthor, and his highly intelligent iguana, ignatius.
The mineral kryptonite is used as a recurring plot device throughout the series. Kryptonite is shown to have bizarre and lingering effects on human physiology and the young canine often encounters mutated and psychotic villains who have developed bizarre powers, such as psychic abilities, shape shifting, and other paranormal abilities. On a Kryptonian like Krypto, though, kryptonite has very different effects; the general idea is that Krypto is virtually invincible except when around the kryptonite rocks. There are multiple colors of kryptonite that affect kryptonians in different ways. Green kryptonite physically weakens Krypto and could possibly kill him if he is exposed to it for too long. Red kryptonite causes him to set aside moral standings and act out on his impulses and dark desires. Black kryptonite splits Krypto into (and merges him back together from) two separate beings that exhibit his two personalities (Krypto and the darker Kol-El). Silver kryptonite (which is solely the creation of Milton Fine in the show) causes him extreme paranoia. Blue kryptonite takes away his abilities, but doesn't cause him pain like green kryptonite is often seen to. Lastly, Gold Kryptonite can permanently damage or scar a Kryptonian and take away their powers permanently.
Many allusions to Superman or Superdog are seen in the series, such as the color of Krypto's collars being the same color as the uniforms of Superman and his his own comic book counterpart or red blankets or sheets that represent the Superman cape.

• Ryan Kelly as the voice of Krypto/Kol-El/The Blur, a young canine with superhuman abilities. He was found and adopted by Kevin Whitney, who helped him to control his powers. Krypto's inability to share his secret worsens upon discovering his origin, as the former pet to Kryptonian baby Kal-El, and being chosen to test a rocket created by Jor-El, to save Kal-El from Krypton's destruction. Throughout the series, Krypto grows closer to his destiny as the Dog of Steel. Krypto appears to be a white labrador retriever.
• Dylan Sprayberry as Kevin Whitney, the young boy that found Krypto in the spaceship. He adopted Krypto and helped him control his powers. Not only is he Krypto's owner, he is also his best friend. Krypto will do anything to protect Kevin and Kevin will do the same for Krypto. In order to help Krypto know when a situation is happening, he took a job at the Daily Planet as a photographer. Like Krypto, Kevin grows and matures throughout the series, aging from 14 to 24 years old.
• Ignatius, Lex Luthor's highly intelligent iguana. He became close friends with Krypto, but started down a dark path, as his past curiosities got the better of him.
• Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, a young billionaire, who was sent by his father to manage the LuthorCorp fertilizer Plant in Smallville. He was furious at first, but that changed when he was saved by Krypto, starting an instant friendship between him and Kevin, and also becoming friends with Maddie West. He even refused to return to his father in Metropolis, when offered a chance, wanting to leave behind dark deeds from his past, and start fresh with new friends. He becomes obsessive with the accident in which Krypto saved him, even having the Whitney's researched. With his mother and baby brother dead when he was nine and being fathered harshly by his father, Lex is very envious of Kevin's perfect family.
• Jadin Gould as Maddie West, Kevin's life long crush, who growing up, lived only a mile away from the Whitney's and is admired from afar by Kevin. The two quickly became friends and wanted to become closer, which is hard when Krypto's secret got in the way.
• Peyton List as Emily Olsen, Kevin's intelligent and inquisitive best friend. She is very skilled with computers and in journalism. Her curiosity often gets the better of her and creates tension between her and her friends, as she crosses personal boundaries. She harbored secret feelings for Kevin, but was hurt, as he only had eyes for Maddie. Thier friendship became stronger as she discovered Krypto's secret. It is revealed that she is the cousin of Jimmy Olsen. Her character is based off of Chloe Sullivan.
• Jonny Gray as Drew Farrus, Kevin and Emily's best friend. He and Kevin have been like brothers since nursery school. Drew discovered Krypto's secret after finding the ship. When the secret became too much, as of getting beat, to get the truth out of him, he moved away to his fathers.
• Mia Talerico as Melanie Whitney, Kevin's baby sister, who knows Krypto's secret throughout the series, starting from 3 years old to 13. She has a close bond with Kevin, that grows throughout the series, especially because she was only other person to know about Krypto the whole series.
• Ryan Newman as Andrea Suseman, arriving in Smallville to find her cousin Emily, Andrea met Kevin and Krypto. She and Kevin often sarcastically insulted eachother, but grew closer until it came to a romantic relationship, and eventually got engaged. Andrea is very skilled in combat and is tough. She was partnered with Kevin, when he began work at the Daily Planet.
• Kevin Costner and Nicole Oliver as Jack and Amy Whitney, Kevin's parents, whome they must keep Krypto's secret from. When Jack becomes state senatlr for the US, they move, but allow Kevin and Melanie to stay, since Kevin is responsible and old enough to take care of Melanie.
• Justin Hartly as the voice of Ali/Hound Arrow, Green Arrow's golden retriever, highly trained to fight and to use a special collar that holds a crossbow, with a variety of different arrows, for multiple purposes, such as a shock arrow and a grappling arrow. Attatched to his collar is a hood, identical to Green Arrows. This character is similar to Bat-Hound, such as his collar, which holds his batarangs and a whole array of gadgets.
• Dane Dehaan as Jonathan Queen, the son of Chloe Sullivan and Oliver Queen, who was named after the deceased father of his parents' best friend. He takes care of Ali. Jonathan also has a gift in archery and learned from his father.
• Aaron Ashmore as the voice Jimmy the Rat, an intelligent rodent that belongs to Jimmy Olsen. He often helps Kevin and Krypto, when they need information or if thet need him to fit through small Spaces. He dies when Davis slices him, after Jimmy attempts to save Emily.
• Peyton Meyers as Ronnie Naman, a Daily Planet reporter and Emily's ex-husband. He met Emily when they were interns at the Planet and became partners. Ronnie is cery intelligent and often helps Kevin and Krypto, who he becomes close friends with. He and Emily become engaged and marry, but he divorces her, when she takes Davis' side over his. They get back together, but Davis kills him. Ronnie was the only one that found out about Krypto, without seeing Krypto use his abilities in front of him or being told, but died the same episode.
• Laura Vandervoort as the voice of Streaky/Supercat, a female kryptonian cat, formerly owned by Kara Zor-El, who was sent to Earth, by Zor-El, in order to test his own. Like Kara, she crash landed in Smallville in the Smallville reservoir, near Reeves Dam, where she remained in suspended animation for 18 years, until Krypto's battle with a clone of himself broke the dam and freed her. Like all Kryptonian creatures under the Earth's yellow sun, Streak also gained powers, but unlike Krypto, she mastered flight right away, Her character and role in the series is based off of Supergirl herself.
• Cassidy Freeman as Tess Mercer, the CEO of LexCorp after Lex's presumed death. She is also the boss of Kevin and Andrea, at the beginning of Kevin's career at the Daily Planet. She immediately took interest in Kevin and Krypto, and discovered what she already expected, Krypto's powers.
• Robert Girdisch as David Green, a senior at Smallville High, the popular quarterback for the Football team, and the boyfriend of Maddie West. When Kevin and Maddie became friends, Kevin became his rival for Maddie's heart. Jealous, David chose Kevin for a harsh Football tradition, to hang him as a scarecrow before the big homecoming game, but when Kevin saved his life, he regreted the things he did and they became somewhat of friends. After graduation, David joined the marines, where he died fighting for his country.

• Kyle Gallner as the voice of Impulse, a turtle that gained super speed, after being struck by lightning, which also gave him the ability to talk, and was found and taken care of by Henry Ferum, who used him to steal. He appears to be way faster than Krypto.
• Graham Philips as Henry Ferrum, an orphan that got amnesia after nearly getting hit by lightning. He found a turtle with super speed, and named him Impulse. Henry has the turtle use his speed to steal. He is impulsive and was unconcerned with the law, but Kevin and Krypto changed that.
• Rydel Lynch as Lucy Gadens, a marine biology student at the University of Miami, who met three special sea creatures, with special abilities and trained them. She is a skilled swimmer, that can hold her breath for a long period of time.
• Ross Lynch as Topo, a superpowered octopus, with a human level intelligence, hydrokenisis and telepathy.
• Riker Lynch as Ark, a superpowered seal, with a human level intelligence, hydrokenisis and telepathy.
• Rocky Lynch as Storm, a large, superpowered seahorse, with a human level intelligence, hydrokenisis and telepathy.

• Uriah Shelton as Felix Davidson, a teenager Maddie met while in physical therapy, and who she also started dating. He was revealed to be resurrected by a serum of Krypto's blood, but when he used the last of the serum, he died.
• James Marsters as Mechanicat, a living kryptonian supercomputer created by Brainiac, that took the form of a cat. He has powers similar to a Kryptonian.
• Ryan Kelly as the voice of Bizarro-Krypto, one of the last two wraiths, that took Krypto's DNA, becoming an exact duplicate of him, gaining his powers and memories. Though green kryptonite weakens Krypto, it strengthens Bizarro and as blue kryptonite takes away Krypto's powers, it overloads Bizarro's, destroying him.
• Lee Thomas Young as Van/Cy-Dog, a dog that was hit and nearly killed by a car, but Lex had the dog used as a test subject, as his broken body parts were replaced with a robotic exoskeleton. He was given the codename Cy-Dog, after Victor Stone, also known as Cyborg.
• Davis Bloome as Doomsday, a kryptonian creature, destined to destroy all kryptonians.
• Callum Blue as the voice of Zod, a krypyonian dog, named after his owner and thrown into the Phantom Zone along with him. Mechanicat used Ignatious as a vessel, to free him, but was stopped by Krypto. In season 9, an orb released younger versions of Zod and his army of kryptonian mutts. Krypto and Kevin tried to befriend them, but Zod betrayed them and his own army. Krypto usef a portal to send them to a new planet for a new beginning, but Zod didn't go easily, as Krypto had to fight him before sending him.
• John Glover as the voice of Darkseid, a dark force that once tried to destroy Earth, but failed when Clark finally became Superman, but when Krypto opened a portal to teleport the Kryptonian mutts, it left a tear in the universe that allowed Darkseid to pass through to Earth, where he took the form of his own breed of mutt to restart his plans.
• Christine Willes as Granny Goodness, Darkseids command officer of his army, who owns an orphanage for little girls on Earth, to brainwash and train the girls to be the Female Furies.

• Michael Daingerfield as Gordon Godfrey, a radio host with a vendetta against vigilantes and a possessed minion of Darkseid.

• Tom Welling as Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman, Krypto's original owner on Krypto, who was sent to Earth as a baby to avoid Krypton's destruction. He was found and raised by two farmers, who taught him good morals and to use his powers for good. As an adult, he finally learned to fly and became Superman. He often helps Kevin and Krypto and works with Kevin at the Daily Planet. They became close friends and allies, as Clark has often givin him advice.
• Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan/Watchtower, Clark Kent's best friend and ally to Kevin and Krypto. She is very intelligent and is skilled with computers. She often helps the duo with information and becomes a close friend to them, mostly Emily.
• Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Clark's fiancée and partner. She is a skilled reporter and is very skilled in combat. She also becomes close to Kevin and Andrea.
• Justin Hartly as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, a vigilante archer, that uses a variety of arrows and gadgets to fight crime. He is the billionaire CEO of Queen Industries. He is married to Chloe and is very close friends with Clark and Lois. He is the owner and partner of Ali/Arrow-Hound.
• James Bartholomew "Jimmy" Olsen, a photographer at the Daily Planet, who works alongside Clark and Lois, and Emily's cousin. This Jimmy is the younger brother of James Henry Olsen (who was a main character in Season 7 and 8 of Smallville). He is skilled with computers and helps his allies gain information. He is close friends with Kevin.
• Annete O'Toole as Martha Kent, Clark's adoptive mother and the U.S. Senator of the stare of Kansas. She, along with her deceased husband Jonathan, found and raised Clark. She first met Kevin and Krypto, when she arrived in Metropolis to visit Clark, after the appearance of a new Blur. Sometime after the final season, in the Dog of Smallville Season 11 Comics, Clark asked Kevin and Krypto to protect Martha, after she was attacked in Washington D.C.
• Alessandro Juliani as Emil Hamilton, a doctor that works part-time at Metropolis General Hospital, but spends most of his time working with Queen Industries and the Justice League, which includes advising Chloe Sullivan at the Watchtower.

Summary[]
A fourteen year old boy finds and adopts an alien dog, Krypto, who seems to exhibit invulnerability, superspeed and strength right away and develops X-Ray vision during the season. Season One is in his frechman year in high school. Almost every week, Krypto battles a new villain with super powers bestowed from exposure to the meteors and discovers a weakness in the meteor rocks themselves, while hiding his secret from Kevin's friends, Emily and Drew. Kevin befriends his crush, Maddie West, and young billionaire Lex and Ignatius, who become very curious about Krypto and Kevin and the car crash, in which Krypto saved them, but their investigations threaten to expose Krypto.

Summary[]
As Kevin and the group start thier sophomore year of high school, Krypto gains a new power, Heat vision. This year, Drew discovers Krypto's secret, the group discovers red meteor rock, Amy becomes pregnant, and most of Krypto's year is occupied with Krypto and Kevin discovering the mysteries in Krypto's life and discover his home planet and former family. Meanwhile Lex battles his father for control of LuthorCorp, as he falls in love with Helen Bryce, as Emily tries to resolve her feelings and complicated relationships with Kevin and Maddie, who start a relationship of their own. The season ends as Krypto attempts to escape the destiny his former owner, Jor-El, has in store for him, by destroying the ship, which creates a shockwave that causes Amy to lose her baby. Blaming himself, Krypto leaves to Metropolis, under red Kryptonite.

Krypto returns to Smallville after his self-imposed exile in Metropolis to face his problems. Kevin's relationship with Maddie end faster than it begins. They meet Perry White, learns more about Krypto's biological family, and Krypto gains a new ability, super hearing. Lionel conspires with his old friend Morgan Edge, who arranged for Krypto's vial of blood to be stolen. He retrieves the sample and uses the vial in an attempt to cure his terminal liver disease, testing the treatment on a new subject, Felix Davidson, who begins a relationship with Maddie. When Chloe and Lex learn that Lionel killed his own parents, Lionel conspires to make it look like Lex has a psychotic break and institutionalizes him, where he gives him a treatment to make him forget Lionel's misdoings. However, Lex is brought back home where he undergoes several psychiatric evaluations. This sees Drew moving out of Smallville. The season begins as Andrea Suseman arrive in Smallville, to solve the murder of her cousin Emily, but instead finds an amnesiac Krypto, Reprogrammed by Jor-El to seek the Stones of Power, so Kevin is given black kryptonite to return him to normal. As he begins his senior year of high school, Kevin decides not to worry about what Jor-El has in store for him and Krypto, even joining the football team. Lana returns from Paris, with a new boyfriend, Ryan Tensin, to investigate a wierd symbol embedded on her skin, that is related to Countess Margaret Isobelle Thoreaux. Kevin and Krypto have a rocky terrain with thier relationships with Maddie and Macy and see thier friendship with Lex and Ignatius completely crumbled. They meet another human with a superpowered pet and face witches from the 17th century, all in time for Kevin's graduation, which is interrupted by another meteor shower. After reuniting the Stoned of Power, Kevin and Krypto are transported to an icy fortress, in the middle of the arctic.

Meanwhile Emily's disappearance from the caves and reappearance in Yukon has Lex and Ignatius more suspicious of Krypto's secret than ever. Kevin meets one of his college professors, who turns out to be a Kryptonian supercomputer, and Kevin and Krypto meet two more humans with superpowered pets. Both Jack and Lex run for state senator and Melanie becomes closer to her brother, as she still knows Krypto's secret.

The season provides the first glimpse of the Phantom Zone, a Kryptonian prison, after Krypto escapes it to stop Zod. The destinies of Lex, Lionel, and Ignatius play out in the aftermath of Ignatius' possession by Zod and Lionel's adoption as the oracle of Jor-El. When Krypto escaped the Phantom Zone, many prisoners escaped with him, which creates the plot of the season, in which Krypto and Kevin must return them. New characters, Jimmy the rat, Johnathan Queen with Ali/Hound-Arrow, and John Jones/Martian Manhunter are introduced, and the first incarnation of DC Comic's League of Super Pets unite, when Johnathan and Ali contact Henry Ferrum, with Impulse, Lucy, with Topo, Ark, and Storm, Jake McNullan, with Van, to take down Lex's experimental facilities. Kevin is shattered, as Lana's relationship with Lex grows, as she discovers she is pregnant and accepts Lex's marriage proposal, but their relationship dissolves when she discovers the truth about her pregnancy while simultaneously discovering Krypto's secret. She tries to leave Lex and Smallville with disastrous consequences. As Kevin and Krypto, Lex, and Lionel all search for the missing Phantom Zone escapees, Lex's Level 33.1 project advances dangerously. It becomes personal for Andrea when Lex exploits one of her childhood friends and she vows to take him down. Krypto discovers more about himself, his Kryptonian background, and his destiny, after battling the last phantom, which released the Kryptonian cat of Kal-El's cousin, Streaky, from nineteen years in suspended animation. Kevin reunites with Maddie, who returns to Smallville after her divorce from Lex and faked death, and has started a non-profit organization for the meteor infected. However, Maddie constantly battled conflicting feelings within herself, fueled by anger and hurt over her relationship with Lex. Maddie fell victim to evil supercomputer Mechanicat, who put her in a painful coma for several weeks. Upon waking, Maddie left Smallville and Kevin once again. Lex learns about the existence of Veritas, based on the theory of the Traveler, a powerful being who would either save the world or destroy it. Lex relentlessly hunted the truth: he continued several controversial research projects and he purchased the Daily Planet to control information, until it led him to eventually murder his father Lionel, who was simultaneously trying to protect the Traveler. Emily was able to master her mysterious meteor power, a form of empathic Healing. Emily's career also hit a bump with the hiring of new editor Grant Gabriel. Grant hired her cousin Andrea Suseman, but it was revealed that Grant was actually Lex Luthor's cloned brother. Emily and Ronnie get back together, but Ronnie became entangled in Lex's machinations. When he refused to comply with Lex's demands, Lex had Emily arrested for illegal hacking, and her fate remains unknown. Clark also had to deal with the return of Brainiac, who revealed to Lex and Ignatius that Krypto was the Traveler. Finally learning the truth about his former friend, Lex and Ignatius and Krypto and Kevin face off in his Fortress of Solitude. Lex fulfilled his perceived destiny to destroy the Traveler and protect the Earth as the Fortress crumbles around them.

This season began a few weeks after the Fortress' icy collapse, as new LuthorCorp executive Tess Mercer investigates Lex's whereabouts. With Lex and Ignatius out of the way, Krypto has to face two new foes: Tess Mercer and Davis Bloome. Tess proved to be as inscrutable as she is cunning, and became an enigmatic new presence in everyone's lives. It wasn't long before Tess' attention turned to Kevin and his dog. Krypto moves closer than ever to embracing his destiny as the iconic superhero canine he will become, as he and Kevin spend less time in Smallville and more time in the big city of Metropolis. They will come across a multitude of villains and heroes, such as Plastique, the Dog Star Patrol, Winslow Schotte and his Toyhound, and Mertin the Magnificent, as Kevin begins his career at the Daily Planet working opposite of Andrea. With Kevin and Andrea thrust into such close proximity, sparks began to fly and feelings started to surface that came as a surprise to both of them. At the same time, Krypto begins to realize the balancing act he must perform as he explores his dual identities as both an unassuming dog to a reporter and a canine superhero. Krypto soon discovers he wasn't the only Kryptonian on Earth, as the Doomsday, the ultimate destroyer, threatens the human race. After Mechanicat's attack on Emily at the end of last season, she presents new abilities, which she hid from Ronnie. She accepts Ronnie's marriage proposal but became surprisingly open to a new acquaintance, Davis Bloome. Davis and Emily quickly develope a friendship, but it soon became clear that he had a secret of his own. Trying to juggle her new career at the Isis Foundation, planning a wedding, her growing relationship with Davis, her Mechanicat infection, and her ongoing commitment to Krypto and Kevin, Emily has her hands full this year. Streaky returns after she was freed from the Phantom Zone and went in search of Kandor, the lost city from Krypton. Maddie also returns to Smallville to finally complete her revenge on Lex Luthor and Ignatius by stealing his last life-line, a power-suit. Maddie's return was short-lived when Lex forced Kevin and Maddie to part for good by contaminating her with kryptonite. Lex and Ignatius are then killed by Jonathan and Ali, but Lex's knowledge of Krypto was passed on to Tess through a series of journals. Ronnie and Jimmy make it thier mission to investigate Metropolis' newest mysterious hero, whom he nicknamed "the Red-Blue and white Blur," and came dangerously close to unearthing Krypto's secret while simultaneously planning his wedding to Emily. Thought his life was coming together, everything was ripped apart by Doomsday and Ronnie was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. As he recovered from his attack, he became addicted to drugs and soon ended up facing the beast for a second time. The biggest milestone happens when Kevin is partnered with Clark Kent and Lois Lane, ad Krypto is at last reunited with his Kryptonian owner, and Emily and Andrea help thier cousin Jimmy Olsen.

Three weeks after battling Doomsday, Krypto has retreated his Earthly way, for his Kryptonian heritage, to be simply known as The Blur, and to finish training with Jor-El, trading in his red and blue collar for a black and grey one, with a white House of El Symbol as a dog tag. Andrea appears in a Metropolis, after disappearing from her fight with Tess, who uses an alien orb to release Kryptonian war dogs, Zod and his army. Kevin and Maddie become closet, until sparks fly and leads them into a romantic relationship. Kevin and Krypto will face new enemies, Metallo and , and ally with more heroes, such as the original Dog Star Patrol. Feeling alone after Ronnie's death and Krypto's departure, Emily becomes driven to reunite the League of Super Pets, starting with Johnny and Ali, who have both started down a dark path and have given up protecting the city, helping find the hero within them, and bring them back with a better purpose, Kevin and Emily's relationship is starting to become strained. No longer content just being thier, Emily joins Chloe Sullivan's side and uses Watchtower's powerful computers to spin her own web of influence and intrigue, manipulating people like chess pieces in the name of the greater good. But when Emily begins to believe the ends justify the means, it sends her on a collision course with Kevin. After learning that Andrea went to the future during missing three weeks, Krypto and Kevin learn that they messed up that future, by trying to take on Zod, who has released his master, the original Major Zod, from the orb, so they instead try to befriend the canine Zod, in an attempt to persuade him away from tyrony, but fail as Zod and his army plan to take over Earth, leaving Krypto with a choice of sending them to a new planet, by sacrificing his own life.

The beginning of the end starts here, as Krypto begins embracing his destiny, using a yellow collar when not in action, and then changing into a red and blue one, with a red House of El dog tag, but he will face his greatest threat yet, when a darkness that was once defeated by Superman, returns to destroy Earth and infects people with thier greatest temptations, as the planet Apocalypse closes in. Andrea reinterprets her spot in Kevin's life after discovering Krypto's secret and being proposed to. The jobs of all heroes, animal and human, become difficult after the Vigilante Registration Act causes them all to redefine what the word "Hero" really means. Emily continues toward her destiny as she trades herself for Jonathan and Ali, who become corrupt with Omega symbol. Melanie tries to embrace her own destiny, as she journeys to find the stone of Orion. Kevin and Krypto must find a way to rid themselves of temptation, when past and present shadows push them towards the darkness at every corner, and believing that letting go of the past is the only way to move on and Krypto must find the courage to step out of the shadows and emerge in the light to rid Jonathan, Ali, and all of Earth of corruption and to fully embrace the canine hero he will be, in order to finally take flight by Superman's side to become the dog of steel.
