As she wonders what to do, she finishes decorating the stage. But when her father, Jonathan (Simmons), walked in, he's shocked that she finished her work. Arbogast wonders why bother her again since once she was thrown out, the figure got what they wanted: The Network destroyed by a mass produce of poor content. The Delightful Children direct Arbogast to try to find her because if she resurfaces, she's gonna find out the "real" reason why she was kicked out. Arbogast agrees, but ask what to do with her once she's found, The Delightful Children instructs him to hand her over to him, because they have plans for her.

Cut to Monday morning, Jack Morton (Scott) is heading to work on his first day as an executive at Cartoon Network (A Brand New Opportunity). He walked to Arbogast's office who's talking to chief board member Mickey Chen (Jeong) about Cartoon Network. • (Nettie tried to reach for Carrie's arm but Carrie moved it away before Nettie can touch her).
  • Carrie: Did you mean it?
  • Nettie: What?
  • Carrie You know… did you mean it?
  • Nettie: Mean what?
  • Carrie: You know…about me… about me holding you back.
  • Nettie: What?
  • Carrie: I need to know.
  • Nettie: What? No, I didn't.
  • Carrie: Don't lie to me.
  • Nettie: I'm not lying to you! Honestly! *takes a deep breath* it's ju-
  • Carrie: Please! …Did you?
  • (They didn't say anything. Nettie was unresponsive when Carrie told her that. She didn't know what to say to her, but the way Carrie looked at her, she can tell she was desperate for an answer. So she just closed her eyes and nodded, she actually did mean it.)
  • (Carrie took a step back, she just couldn't help but be… shocked. She couldn't believe it. Her own little sister, who'd she always watch out for, told her she was holding her back. Nettie just had her head down and her eyes close, refusing to see the disappointment reaction that Carrie has, While she did that, Carrie grabs Nettie's hands and placed something in the palm of Nettie's hands. Nettie opened her eyes and discovered on her hands… it was the necklace she made for Carrie.)
  • (Nettie looked up at Carrie with a concerned and worrisome look. But Carrie said nothing. She just picked up her suitcase from the ground and then Nettie moved her arm, holding the necklace by chain, forward to give it back. Carrie just looked down at he necklace and just stared at the lettering one it. "My Favorite Sister", it read. She then looked back up as Nettie. All she did just shook her head. It meant nothing to her anymore. Nettie only saw on Carrie's face just sadness and disappointment.)
  • (Carrie walked away to the repair shop and never looked back. Once Carrie was inside, the doors started closing. As the doors close, Nettie snapped out of it and rushed in after her. She couldn't let it end like this. She remembered that their dad's old repair shop had a backdoor. But once Nettie opened the door and she was inside, she ran to the closet where the portal was. But once she open the closest door… she find that the portal was gone. All that's left is just same old closet. Just shelves of car parts, tools, and cleaning equipment. But no portal. Carrie was gone.)
  • (Nettie just got on her knees, then layed down on the concrete floor, clutch the necklace to her chest and just broke down crying.)
  • (Flashback ends)
  • Nettie: That day... was the worst day of my life.
  • Carrie: Yeah... that was the worst day of my life too.

  • Carrie: But you did.
  • Nettie: I just wish I can make it up to you.
  • Carrie: But you can't. Not after that.

There’s nothing I could say to you

Nothing I could ever do to make you see

What you mean to me

All the pain, the tears I cried

Still you never said goodbye and now I know how far you’d go

I know I let you down but it's not like that now

This time I’ll never let you go

I will be all that you want and get myself together

Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life I’ll be with you forever

To get you through the day and make everything OK

  • Carrie (soft): How does singing gonna help make everything okay?
  • Nettie: Well, it- it lets your emotions out.
  • Carrie: How?
  • Nettie: Just try.
  • Carrie: First, tell me the truth.
  • Nettie: About what?
  • Carrie: Everything.
  • Nettie: Everything?
  • Carrie: You know. The job. When I left. How you really feel.
  • (Nettie signs)
  • (Nettie clears her throat and then starts singing)
  • Nettie (singing):

I always needed time on my own

I never thought I'd need you there when I cry

But the days feel like years when I'm alone

And the bed where you lie

Is made up on your side

When you walked away I count the steps that you take

Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone

The pieces of my heart are missing you

When you're gone

The face I came to know is missing too

When you're gone

The words I need to hear to always get me through the day

And make it OK

I miss you

  • Carrie: Keep going.
  • (Nettie groans)
  • Nettie: You know what, how bôut this? Yes, I felt like needed some space but not the type of space where I never see you again! All those years since you left, sure I moved on, but there is still this hole in my heart that keeps reminding myself I can never say I'm sorry cause I didn't know if that was last time I saw you! But then again, I realized that not only did you completely overreacted to what happened, you left me all alone!
  • (Nettie was almost in tears when she said that, but she had to say it.)
  • Nettie (voice breaking): That how I felt. All alone.
  • (Nettie looks up and notices that Carrie with a tissue in her hand, suggesting that Carrie wants her to take it. As so, Nettie takes it, wipes her tears and blow her nose).
  • Carrie: What are you talking about? You're not alone.
  • Nettie: What makes you say that? You were gone. I was here. I rarely see mom and I had no one else.
  • Carrie: It doesn't matter I'm not here.
  • Carrie (singing):

You're not alone

Together we stand

I'll be by your side

You know I'll take your hand

When it gets cold

And it feels like the end

There's no place to go

You know I won't give in

  • Nettie to Carrie (singing):

No, I won't give in

  • Carrie (singing):

Keep holding on

Cause you know we'll make it through

We'll make it through

Just stay strong

Cause you know I'm here for you

I'm here for you

There's nothing you could say

  • Nettie to Carrie (singing):

(Nothing you can say)

  • Carrie (singing):

Nothing you could do

  • Nettie (singing):

(Nothing you could do)

  • Carrie (singing):

There's no other way when it comes to the truth

So keep holding on

Cause you know we'll make it through

We'll make it through

  • Nettie to Carrie (singing):

So far away

I wish you were here

Before it's too late

This could all disappear

  • Carrie and Nettie to each other (singing):

Before the doors close

And it comes to an end

With you by my side, I will fight and defend

  • Carrie (singing):

I'll fight and defend

  • Carrie and Nettie (singing):

Keep holding on

  • Carrie (singing):

Cause you know we'll make it through

We'll make it through

  • Carrie and Nettie (singing):

Just stay strong

Cause you know I'm here for you

I'm here for you

  • (Carrie and Nettie are misty eyed and they hug after confessing how much they miss each other and how much they need to each other).
  • (Then all of sudden, there was the sound cheers and hands clapping. Carrie and Nettie looked to see where the sound was coming from and noticed it was a group of foreign tourists applauding and cheering.)
  • (Carrie and Nettie just blushed that they made up in public, but they couldn't but just take a bow, seeming that the tourists did enjoy they're "performance".)

Carrie turns herself in[]

  • (Carrie just walked past the entrance of the cemetery on to the road current through many grave stones until she stopped at in front of one)
  • (She kneeled down in front of it and pulled a feather duster from her back pocket and moved forward to dust off the tombstone's lettering. Once cleared, the grating read "Here lies Laurence Carlton Toon. Beloved Husband to Madeline Toon and Loving Father to Carolann and Natalie Toon".)
  • (Carrie just stared at it, just stood there for a few seconds until she spoke.)
  • Carrie (softly): Hey dad… it's been a while. Well, actually 10 years. But it's just because… I don't know. Maybe I felt like there was nothing here for me anymore. But right now, there is. And I'm going to make it right.
  • (Carrie got to her feet and stared down in her father's grave. It was time to surrender herself for Hayley. Carrie just put hand on the tombstone and gave it a little pat goodbye. Carrie walked away to go turn herself in, then stopped. She turned around to look at her father's grave one last time, blew a kiss at it and then walked away from the cemetery, ready to face her doom.)
  • (Carrie was walking down the sidewalk just thinking. Thinking about how much she just wasn't around. How many years it'd been her father died. And then she stopped. She was at a crosswalk where she pressed the button to wait till it said it was okay to walk across the other side of the street.)
  • (As she waited, she noticed across the street a Chuck 'E' Cheese where a little girl was having a birthday party. She looked to appeared to be around 7 years old. Her dad appeared and picked her and put her on his back to play horse. Carrie couldn't help but just smile. She could feel her heart melt inside with warmed. Then she felt a tear coming from her left cheek. She rub it off and then just looked back them.)
  • Carrie (singing):

I miss you

miss you so bad

I don't forget you

Oh, it's so sad

I hope you can hear me

I remember it clearly

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same

Ooh

Na na na na na na naa

  • (Nettie was a on the street looking for Carrie, fearing she might go after Joker for Hayley. She ask people around to see if anyone saw Carrie, most of them kept saying the same thing, "No, I haven't." Nettie just continued walking to see if she could find Carrie.)
  • Nettie (Singing):

I didn't get around to tell you

That's not what I meant

I wish that I could see you again

I know that I can't

Ooh

I hope you can hear me cause I remember it clearly

  • Carrie and Nettie (Singing):

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same

Ooooh

  • Carrie (singing)

I had my wake up

Won't you wake up

I keep asking why

  • Nettie (singing):

And I can't take it

It wasn't fake

It happened, you passed by

  • Carrie (singing):

Now you are gone, now you are gone

There you go, there you go

Somewhere I can't bring you back

  • Nettie (singing):

Now you are gone, now you are gone

There you go, there you go,

Somewhere your not coming back

  • Carrie and Nettie (singing):

The day you slipped away

Was the day i found it won't be the same noo..

The day you slipped away

Was the day that i found it won't be the same oooh...

  • Carrie (singing):

Na na, na na na, na na

I miss you
