New Europa, also referred to as Eastern Europa, Eastern European Republic, Coalition of Slavic States, and informally named The Slav Republic, is a united territory of Eastern European states that encompass around xxx kms squared (xxx miles). New Europa is made up of 76 semi-autonomous states that are governed both on a local and federal level. New Europa extends north to the Baltic Sea and south to the Black Sea. It borders Poland to the west and Russia to the east.

New Europa is based off of an elective oligarchic system in which a group of individuals run for places on the New Europan Council. The council holds all the powers of a normal parliamentary government institution as well as the executive powers usually held by government figure heads. Within the council are multiple parties, the Europan Nationalist party being the most popular, headed by party leaders. Each part leader serves as a head of council that oversee executive operations much like a Prime Minister would do in other European countries.

Beyond the New Europan states are the observer states. The observer states are countries that hold ties to New Europa, whether it be cultural, religious, historical, ect., and are permitted to receive protection and trade benefits such as no tariff trading and military protection. However, these states remain independent and therefore cannot be influenced by Europan laws. Many of the observer states were once part of the Communist Bloc and later the Slav Bloc which created the strong ties between these states.

History[]

Formation[]

In 1991, during the decline of the Soviet Union, Eastern European states influenced or governed by the Soviet Union broke off from the crumbling Union to form the Slav Bloc, an alliance of Slavic states and previous Soviet possessions, to oppose the Soviet government that was destroying the possessed states economic structure. The Slav Bloc benefited these countries by putting forth more capitalistic reforms and creating strong economic ties between the weakened states. The Slav Bloc also stood as a military alliance to stand against future attempts at regaining the now independent states.

In 1992 the Russian government attempted to reclaim the Eastern European states through annexation of the northern countries, some of the poorest within the Bloc, which proved successful in the initial campaign. Slowly forces moved south reabsorbing the states. The Ukraine, the unofficial leader state of the Slav Bloc, fought the Russian invasions off for ten months before Easter Ukraine submitted to Russian rule. During the final battles of the Ukrainian conquest the United States saw the opportunity to confront their Russian rivals and aided the Ukraine and the norther states by effectively pushing out Russian forces from the Slav Bloc.
