The North American water buffalo is a species of water buffalo that lives in grasslands, forests, swamps, cities, towns, urban areas, and suburbs of North America. Unlike most bovine species, it can tolerate well with human activities. It is both a browser and a grazer. It resembles its closest relative, a wild Asian water buffalo.
