PremierNetwork (foremly PremierChannel and ITC Network) is a television network. The headquarters are in Dundee, Scotland. The channel was launched as PremierChannel in 1912. The company was renamed to ITC (Internatiol Television Company) in September 2011 and was changed to PremierNetwork in early 2012 when it celebrated it's 100th birthday. On 27 July 2012, PremierNetwork broadcasted the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in London.
History and Years[]
1912-1972 (PremierTV)[]
The channel was launched in 1912 starting with a welcome. PremierChannel had made a new channel in 1969 called "The PremierMoon Channel" for the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969, the channel stopped running on 27 December 1972 for the ending of the Apollo missions from 11 to 17.
1973-2011 (PremierChannel TV)[]
The station was renamed to PremierChannel TV. New shows were featured on it, a new channel called PremierBBC was between PremierChannel TV and BBC. The channel aired Doctor Who, Match of the Day and others. In 2011 it was renamed to ITC|BBC. And
another channel called PremierXD was made but stopped in 2011. It was the ending of PremierChannel TV on September 23, 2011 and renamed to ITC Network
2011-2012 (ITC Network)[]
On September 24, 2011, the channel was rendered into a new channel, ITC Network has been running from September and was renamed to PremierNe ===2012-present (PremierNetwork)
