Princess Zelda's fighter of choice was an Incom/Subpro ARC-170 Starfighter. It started as a standard modernized ARC-170. The only significant modification was altering the copilot controls so that the astromech can take over the copilot's work. This allows the ship to operate with only a pilot, astromech, and gunner. Link joins her aboard as gunner. Her astromech droid is R2-F8,nicknamed "Fate."
History[]
Zelda, realizing after the New Clone Wars' first battle that her Nu-class attack shuttle wasn't suited for dogfights, searched the lists for a starfighter,finally settling on an ARC-170 fighter. Zelda spent two weeks training in the fighter to master its use. It was first deployed in the First Battle of Yavin 10, not long after the New Clone Wars broke out.
