Pumped Up Kicks is a 2012 Teen Drama Thriller film written by Alan Ball and directed by Sam Mendes (who colloborated on American Beauty) based off the 2011 Foster the People song of the same name. It is produced and presented by Paul Verohoven.

It concerns a teenage boy classically prejudicely perceived as a stereotypical strange nerd whom desires to kill off the popular bully student body of his school whom have made his life hell.

He plans the big killing on Graduation Night but is being fought from it by the beautiful teenage girl of whom he is living with and her younger brother.

The film stars Robert Pattison, Emily Browning, William A. Johnson, Analeigh Tipton, Katrina Bowden, Robert Sheehan, Max Thieriot, Ed Speelers, Aimee Carrero, Brady Corbet, Andrew Lawrence, Marcia Gay Harden, Lauren Graham, William Peterson, Tim Stafford and Collins Pennie.

It features a prominent appearence from actor Dennis Quaid whom portrays the mere husband of one of the Crestleteen High School's teachers but comes through as help for the protagonist character portrayed by Robert Pattinson as his character did too wish to kill the student body around him when he was his age.

The song also prominintley features the song to which the movie garners it's title and central story.

Story[]

A teenage boy devoid of a mother and void of an abusive alchoholic father struggles to fit in school.

Well liked by many school girls but few school boys he garners the label "homosexuaul."

He goes through a tough time of social schooling due to this until he falls in with a Varsity Male group come High School.

The Varsity Players have only adopted him into their friendship circle as a bet and joke and as a result of him discovering it takes extreme measures to see they do not follow through with their planned date of revealment and embarrasment.

He begins an collision course dropping out of school and preparing but finds a hilter in his plans in the form of a beautiful brunette of a dingry background who is a school emo and loner despite her attractive appearence.

Can she however stop him from committing a series of rash murders and come to truly love life as well as him?
