Sickened Offspring is the fifth studio album from American metal band Death Flower, released on March 30th 2008. It is preceded by 2006's Virus In The Blood and followed by 2010's The War of A Thousand.

Background

After touring on the "Virus In The Blood Tour" alongside support acts Graceland Faith and Eternal Guardians throughout 2007, Death Flower confirmed their return to the studio on June 15th 2007. Chris Davenport stated that: "The band has had a long time on the road to tour for the Virus album, and we are ready to return to the studio. The new album is fast, raw, and deadly, much like Soulsucker". In March of 2008 the band released Inside The Shell, the first single off Sickened Offspring and their 25th single overall. The song was generally well received, and a music video followed, the band's first since Offspring of Mine off of 2006's Virus In The Blood. Can You Hear The Thunder? followed as the second single, released on March 22nd, and The Jigsaw Game, inspired by the Saw series, was released on March 29th 2008 to coincide with the album. Three singles followed after the album's release, Sickened Offspring on April 6, Anticipation on April 12, and Erase The Memory on April 22.

Sickened Offspring was released on March 30th 2008 to general acclaim and good sales. "Death Flower's fifth album since 2006's Virus In The Blood sees a somewhat culmination of their career's work, with an equally brutal and melo combination here on Sickened Offspring.
