Slender Man is an American horror film starring Kailey Cuoco, Sean Faris, Jamie Chung, Mark Sailing, Michael B. Jordan, Jessica Lowndes, Eric Knudsen, Keegan Allen and Jackie Earle Haley.
Summary[]
The movie begins with two children, a boy and girl, playing in a forest before the boy finds a mysterious page with a drawing of a tall and faceless man dressed in a suit. He takes the page despite the girls protests. As they wander through the woods they hear noises before everything goes dead silent. Slender Man appears and they run, but the boy trips and looks directly at Slender Man, before being taken by Slender man's tentacles as the girl screams. She runs off as she was taken away by the tentacles.
Years later, 8 teenagers, Cigar-smoking Claire, her boyfriend Sam, her best-friends Chloe and Ashley, their boyfriends Austin and Dwayne, quirky Nick and troubled alcoholic Todd are going camping in the woods for the week-end. They stop at a local shop to get beer and supplies before heading off. Claire falls asleep and has a nightmare of Slender Man about to kill her before she wakes up. They arrive at the edge of the woods and find several warning and stay out signs but ignore them and drive into the huge woods. Ashley and Dwayne have an argument as Austin and Chloe make-out. They drive until they come across a fallen down tree and are forced to walk the rest of the way. They eventually decide to stop and set up camp for the night as its getting dark. They start setting up the tents and Ashley and Dwayne have another argument and Ashley storms off followed by Claire and Chloe, who try to calm her down.
Dwayne tells Austin, Todd, Nick and Sam he's thinking of splitting up with Ashley and Todd secretly goes off to look for her as he has a crush on her. Ashley tells the girls she's pregnant and that she's thinking of having an abortion and the girls encourage her to speak to Dwayne. Todd overhears them and when Ashley's alone tries to come onto her, but she rejects his advances and slaps him. Claire tells Sam about her nightmares and he tells her there only nightmares and everything will be okay. That night, the teens tell stories around the campfire and Nick tells the story of "The White King" that wears a business suit and is faceless. He tells them how the monster torments his victims, usually children, before either brutally murdering or abducting them. Dwayne says its bullshit but Claire says its exactly like her dreams, freaking out Chloe, Nick and Ashley. A very drunken Todd starts an argument with Dwayne. who punches him, before Todd reveals Ashley's plan to have an abortion which infuriates Dwayne who almost kills Todd before storming off followed by Ashley. Todd wanders off into the woods with a bottle of beer and comes across a mysterious page on a tree with "NO NO NO NO NO NO!" wrote on it in blood.
He throws it away and Slender Man appears and Todd runs before tripping and falling over a small cliff and being impaled through the back on a tree branch, dying moments later as Slender Man looks down upon him from the cliff. Nick begins filming the camp with his camera but it goes blurry. Ashley catches up with Dwayne and tries to explain but he is too furious and shouts at her to have the abortion but immediately apologises. Ashley is deeply upset by what he said and runs off further into the woods crying as Dwayne punches a tree. Ashley breaks down at a tree before seeing a page attached to it. It reads "IT KNOWS YOUR HEAR" and she begins to panic after seeing a figure circling her. She turns round to see Slender Man directly in front of her and she screams, alerting Dwayne.
Dwayne looks for her and eventually finds her slumped against a tree staring, terrified, ahead. She tries to speak but can't and Dwayne realizes her voice box has been removed. He jumps back in horror as Ashley stares horrified at something behind Dwayne. She then dies of fear. Dwayne gets to his feet and tries to escape but Slender Man quickly rips his heart out, killing him instantly. At the camp Claire has a flash back of running through the woods when she was a child, chased by an unknown figure. She tells Chloe how she cant remember anything before she was ten and has always felt like she's been watched. Nick finds Sam with a gun and panics but Sam laughs and says its for protection. Austin takes Chloe to the tent and they make-out as Sam and Claire cuddle by the fire. Nick, feeling like a third wheel, takes his camera and walks into the forest filming everything. The camera goes more and more fuzzy and eventually goes dead. Nick is too distracted with it and trips and falls down a small hill. He sees a cave ahead with a page in front of it. He picks it up and it has "HEAR NO EVIL. SPEAK NO EVIL. SEE NO EVIL" wrote on it.
He looks deeper into the cave after hearing moaning and Slender Man grabs him with its tentacles and drags him into the darkness. Back at the camp Chloe strip teases for Austin and Sam takes the flashlight and goes to get more beer from the car. He finds a page attached to the bonnet with "HELP ME" wrote on it. He rips it up and opens the car door. The radio suddenly turns on and it turns to strange static and eventually loud screaming. He turns it off but it turns back on. He gets back into the car and locks the door after hearing loud footsteps. Slender Man appears in the backseat and the car shakes as he screams and blood sprays across the windshield. Claire begins to worry when Sam doesnt return and goes to alert Austin and Chloe, who come out half-naked. Austin goes to look for Sam as the girls wait in the tent. He finds the car door ajar and sees Sam in the drivers seat. His eyes had been removed and put in plastic bags before being put back in. Austin panics and grabs the flashlight and runs back to the girls and tells them what happened. Claire is in shock as Chloe panics.
Austin takes the gun and gets the girls to follow him back to the car. They set out and come across an abandoned house, which they take refuge in. They investigate the house and Chloe finds a page with "LEAVE ME ALONE" wrote on it and drops it. The trio go into the old living-room and Claire sees a figure standing outside. Austin takes the gun and goes outside to confront the figure, who has disappeared. He looks around before seeing the figure circling him, screaming. He is lifted into the air, dropping the gun, and flung against a tree, snapping his spine and killing him. Chloe screams and tries to go out to him but is held back by Claire. Suddenly, Nicks body is thrown through the window. His eyes, ears and tongue all removed. The girls scream and Chloe runs outside, followed by Claire. Chloe picks up the gun and they get into an old van and Claire tries to get it started. A tree branch is thrown at the window, cracking it. Claire gets the van started and begins to drive aimlessly.
The car goes dead and Ashley's body lands onto the roof. Chloe picks up the gun and shoots herself in the head, dying instantly. Claire screams and gets the car working but crashes into a tree, knocking her unconscious. She wakes up and crawls out of the van. She takes the gun and wanders through the woods, with Slender Man watching her. She has another flash back and realises she was the little girl and that Slender Man has been trying to get her for years as she got away and that her friends were just in the way. She comes across a maze of cars from people taken over the years and Slender Man circles her. She shoots aimlessly into the forest before collapsing to the ground. Slender Man walks towards her and she stays emotionless and completely still as he walks towards her she raises the gun to her head and begins pulling the trigger as the screen fades to black it fires the sixth time, leaving her faith unknown. Slender Man's faceless head is quickly shown moments later.
