Spider-Man 4 is a 2010 Fantasy Action film written and directed by Sam Raimi. It is the fourth instalment in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man quadrilogy and is based off the classic Marvel Comics Superhero Spider-Man created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
The film follows on from Spider-Man 3 and the death of Harry Osborn as four titular villains emerge in Manhattan each with their own plans.
The film features Tobey Maquire from the first three instalments reprising his role as the titular Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Kirsten Dunst reprising her role as Mary-Jane Watson, J.K Simmons as the always enraged Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson, Rosemary Harris as Aunt May Parker and Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko/Sandman.
It also features Eric Stoltz appearing as Carnage, John Malkovich as Vulture, Eliza Dushku as Black Cat and Dylan Baker reprising his role as Dr. Curt Connors who in the film becomes the antagonist beast the Lizard.
A Large Viaduct on Liberty Island gives way and takes down one of the onlooking buisnessmen.
The Buisnessman Kletus Cassidy is smashed into the Viaduct where the dark simulation toxics are held and he is from there driven completely mentall insane.
He goes under house aresst in returning to New York and stays in his home which over the course of time has since became abandoned.
The story then goes on to show another meteorite crashed down at the same time the first one did from Spider-Man 3 and a new symbiote is on the loose.
This symbiote coloured red finds it's way to the homicidal mentally unstable Cassidy and makes him into the villain titled Carnage.
Also Dr. Kurt Connors is working on a reptilian serum to bring back the arm he lost and ultimatley becomes a humanoid lizard monster known as the Lizard.
A Young woman with Black Hair is also raped and brutally beaten till left for dead in Manhattan stumbles on an animal transfusion from Dr. Connor's Labatory and becomes the Black Cat.
From there an old man from a retirement village in Manhattan espires to leave his basic enviroment and take to the skies and take vengeance on the company Oscorp as Norman Osbourne when he was alive stole an invention idea from him and took the credit.
Peter who now runs Oscorp following Harry's death must step into the fray and risk the safety of Mary-Jane and their newborn son.
The last of the villainery is that of a hoodoo meddling hunter Sergei Kravenoff who strolls into the Big Apple and paints it red in plan to obtain the Lizard and destroy Spider-Man's life in hope of corrupting him.
