The seventh season of Teen Wolf, an American supernatural action drama created by Jeff Davis, loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, received an order of 20 episodes on July 15th, 2015, and premiered on June 28th, 2016 concluding on March 3rd, 2017.

The seventh season like the previous sixth, fifth and third seasons of the series was split into two parts, the season features two separate story arcs like the sixth and third seasons.

The season marks the return of main cast actress Arden Cho who portrays the character Kira Yukimura on the show, and has since her Season 3 Part II debut episode Anchors.

The season also marks new additions to the main cast including Ryan Kelley who portrays resident hellhound, Lydia love interest and local Beacon Hills Deputy Jordan Parrish, Khylin Rhambo who portrays previously updated to main cast actor Dylan Sprayberry's character's bestfriend Mason Hewitt, Victoria Moroles as Hayden Romero his recently turned werewolf love interest and Michael Johnston as Corey Bryant, Khylin Rhambo's Mason's chimera love interest.

Plot

Settling into college life as never been more difficult for Scott McCall and his pack as they sanction at Beacon County College in order to remain closer to the activated center of mystical energy and evil magnetism known as the Nemeton. Relationships are tested and strained as Scott usurps the strong bond with his friends, mother and the younger generation trying to uphold the defence front of their sophomore year at Beacon Hills High as he comes under the mentorship of the world's most influential werewolf, the original Wolfman behind the Wolfman. Kira takes a detour down a dark path with the impossible obligations and tasks set by the Skinwalkers along with the kitsune side she is trying to suppress, Lydia finds her calling as a leader and struggles to maintain the newfound relationship with hellhound Parrish as she gathers amongst women just like her, Malia taps into the fun side of college life and the return of Theo Raeken shakes everyone to their core as old faces from the past under the tutelage of a Minotaur set off the monstrous side of Scott's werewolf side, paving the way for a new true alpha as several others band together to also take him down.

Episode Synopsis

Sanfoor

Following the aftermath of the Anuk-Ite and Gerard Argent's war Scott and the pack begin to aid Chris Argent in capturing Monroe and ending her rampage. Upon Monroe's capture Scott enters

Terra Firma

Stiles' body shuts down into acoma the night before the first of college exams prompting Scott, Lydia, Malia, Liam, Mason, Corey and Hayden to perform a dangerous ritual under the supervision of Melissa McCall, Parrish and the Sheriff. Mr. Yukimura preparing along with his wife in the wake of Kira's skinwalker transitioning to move comes across the sensitive male student of the new mysterious four Beacon Hills High additions, who appears under the grip of Scott's most favoured teacher.

Integrand

With Stiles return to the fold and the expulsion of his shutdown the Sluagh out, the gang finds assistance in a believed to be dead former enemy: Valack and the lead chimera heroine of his Dread Doctors' book alive and in Beacon Hills. At the same time the Yukimuras in consultation with an out of the desert Kira establish that James Terrin the student under the grip of Mr. Douglas is in fact an Elemental; one of the four descendant human manifestations of the four primary elements, his powers and elemental corresponding with the element of Earth.
