The Killing is a 2000 American Slasher film written by Mary Murillo and Kevin Williamson.

It is directed by Rupert Wainwright and stars Christina Ricci, Erica Durance, Ali Larter, Busy Phillips, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Irons, James Marsters, Cynthia Daniel, Cole Hauser, Jena Malone and Vince Vaughn.

The film was nominated for a Saturn Award For Best Horror Film but lost to Final Destination.

The film gained a cult following and was released to critical acclaim.

The film is distributed by Universal Pictures and Morgan Creek Productions.
