Titan refers to the breed of super soldiers developed by Titan Industries.
Titan 1[]
The first generation of Titans were created by Demetri Titan Bogart whom died and Bogart, his nephew, carried out his work. The Titan 1s were divided into Creches based on the type of Augmentations are used on them. Main Article: History of Genetic Augmentation

A Total of 300 candidates were selected and out of that number only 60 were succesful. Their training consisted of several 'tournament' like ladders where they would compete in many different arenas across Adonias, scoring frags and making use of Respawners, which was pretty much a Cloning machine, although not technically since it would project a carbon flash clone of them which would do battle under their control. The Titan 1s were never technically dispersed onto the battlefield.
Titan 2[]
After the Titan 1 Cleansing the Titan 2s were made. There was only one creche, known as WARRIOR, and they all went by the same Augmentations:

There were 300 candidates yet this time there were only 50 succesful. The Titan 2s were the first to be deployed onto the battleground, but due to their constant failure to defend the Border Colonies, they were scrapped and purified.
Titan 3[]
The Titan 3s were the third generation of Titans, they were perfect in every way. The Titan 1s were stronger and more resilient than a normal human, whereas the Titan 2s were not as resilient as the Titan 1s yet were stronger than the Titan 1s, but the Titan 3s had the strength of the Titan 2 and the toughness of the Titan 1s, this first generations of Titan 3 were called Prototypes.

The only 2 known Prototypes were Bogart and Adrean. The next creche was the Golems. The Golems were the final product of the first generation of Titan 3's.
