Turkey Raptor

A pair of turkey raptors in a forest somewhere in California.

Turkey raptor is a species of troodont dinossur native to modern day North American forests and sometimes grasslands. They are named due to some of their feather colorations being similar to a wild turkey and/or domestic turkey. They are very similar in appearance to the long-extinct Dromaeosaur raptor dinosaurs, hence their names. They range from about the size of a Deinonychus to about the size of a Dakotaraptor, depending on a species. Unlike the long-extinct Dromaeosaurs, turkey raptors are still largely omnivorous and feeds mainly on leaves, berries, roots, tubers, and reeds, but can also feed on smaller animals and carrion. They are not endangered as they tolerate well with human activities, able to adapt into human settlements, and are even nonaggressive and are peaceful/gentle towards humans.
